Alimentarium

Overseeing the redesign of the digital & e-commerce platform

The project

Alimentarium is the world's first museum dedicated to food. For over 30 years, it has been presenting the many qualities of the food we eat from a global and independent perspective. Boosted by the museum's digital transformation, the website redesign needed to meet the differing requirements of small and large target audiences.

Our role
  • Advice
  • Digital strategy
  • Creative concept
  • User experience
  • Design
  • Content
A project implemented in two stages

The first stage of the project - an in-depth UX analysis both in terms of ergonomics and data from the existing environment. The WIDE team quickly put forward a "content and e-commerce" focused approach, built directly around mobile use.

The second stage of the project was dedicated to creating a lively, dynamic and fun visual graphic identity in order to convey the true spirit of the museum.

Our objectives

  • To position and boost the brand and the museum's presence on line
  • To establish the museum as a global landmark
  • To streamline content and simplify the offer
  • To increase traffic and sales

In summary

To create an engaging, natural and fun digital experience. And all with a focus on education.

The feeling of starting your visit from the very first click - that's what inspired the whole team at WIDE!

"A balanced symbiosis that has made it possible to create a website capable of reaching an extremely wide audience."
